INTRODUCE

A Journey from Quiet Beginnings
to Global FinTech Development

At 15, I found myself locked out and came up with an unconventional solution - rappelling down from a third-floor terrace with a borrowed rope. That same curiosity and willingness to try different approaches now guides my work in financial technology, where our team has developed systems that help process transactions faster than before.

Hi, I'm Nestinka Rebello. My path from a quiet girl from Goa's beaches to FinTech development has been full of learning experiences. I've discovered that meaningful innovation often comes from asking questions, persistent effort, continuous learning, and the willingness to find solutions where others see obstacles.

ABOUT ME

Learning as I Go Along the Way

In 1995, I walked into the newly established computer lab at Presentation Convent High School in Margao. That first encounter with Logo programming, watching a turtle move across the screen, sparked an interest that would guide my career path and provide opportunities to contribute to Goa's technology sector.

From being the shy girl who rarely spoke in class to now working with a wonderful team of 80+ people at CodeMax IT Solutions, I've learned that growth happens through collaboration. Whether it was figuring out that balcony situation or working on better transaction processing systems, I've found that most challenges challenges often have solutions when approached with patience and creativity.

Today, CodeMax serves clients globally, with particular focus on European markets. Our systems process financial transactions in 2 seconds - a significant improvement on what used to be 15-30 minute waits. We've had the opportunity to contribute to Goa's growing recognition as a location for technology development, showing that quality innovation can emerge from dedicated work regardless of geography.

Beyond technology, you'll find me exploring life's adventures - scuba diving in Lakshadweep's waters, skydiving through clouds, or navigating monsoon roads on motorcycle with friends. These activities have taught me valuable lessons about calculated risk-taking and staying calm under pressure, skills that translate well to the fast-paced world of FinTech development.

Where Experience Meets Application

Over the years, I've had the chance to work on different aspects of technology. Each project has taught me something new, and I'm always looking for ways to apply what I've learned to solve real problems.

Efficient FinTech

Contributed to developing the Orion system that helped improve transaction processing - achieving 2 seconds compared to the industry standard of 15-30 minutes. Focused on creating practical solutions that enhance user experience through faster processing times.

AI-Integrated Operations

Working with our team to integrate AI capabilities throughout our organization to improve efficiency and productivity. We explore how artificial intelligence can enhance human capabilities and streamline business processes.

Local to Global

Contributing to Goa's growing technology sector while serving international markets. CodeMax operates from our Margao headquarters and serves European clients, demonstrating that quality software development can be delivered from various geographic locations.

Collaborative Leadership

Have grown from the introverted girl who rarely spoke in class to working with 80+ professionals across multiple countries. My approach focuses on coordination rather than command, guidance rather than dictation, and active listening to build effective teams.

Past Learning Experience

Spent four years working on binary options platforms that handled high-volume, time-sensitive transactions. When regulatory changes affected the industry, I was able to adapt this experience to contribute to our current FinTech services and transaction processing capabilities.

Giving Back When Possible

Started the Safe Us Initiative for women's safety and support educational access in rural Goa. My belief: "If you have something, why not others also get benefit of that." Meaningful work includes contributing to community well-being.

My Journey

From Code to Leadership

Every line of code I wrote, every challenge I faced, and every team I worked with was a learning experience toward contributing to technology development. This is the journey from a shy programming student to being part of FinTech innovation.

  • The Beginning

    1995

    First Code, New Interests

In the newly established computer lab at Presentation Convent High School, a shy sixth-standard student encountered Logo programming for the first time. That moment, making a turtle move across the screen, sparked an interest that would guide my career path and eventually contribute to Goa's technology development.

BEYOND THE CODE

Adventure, Impact, Purpose

Life extends beyond code and boardrooms. It's about exploring new experiences, contributing positively to community, and finding balance through meaningful activities.

Being Part of Goa's Tech Community

Contributing to Goa's development from primarily a tourism destination to also including a technology sector. CodeMax's growth has been part of demonstrating that quality technology development can be successfully conducted from various geographic locations.

Contribution: Helped create 80+ technology jobs, contributing to Goa's growing tech sector.

Safe Us Initiative

When something troubling happened at Benaulim Beach, I felt I should try to help. So I started the Safe Us Initiative to teach women about safety features that were already on their phones but they might not know about.

Hope: That it helped some women feel a little safer and more confident.

Adventures That Teach Me

I love trying new things - scuba diving in Lakshadweep, the occasional skydiving adventure, and monsoon motorcycle rides with friends. These experiences have taught me to prepare well, sstaying calm under pressure, and adapting to changing conditions.

Learning: "Every adventure teaches me something I can use at work too - like planning ahead and not panicking when things go wrong."

What Keeps Me Going

"If you have something, why not help others benefit from it too?"

This simple idea guides how I try to work and live. Whenever I learn something new, get a chance to help someone, or figure out a better way to do things, I ask myself: how can this benefit others too? From that shy girl trying to find creative solutions to everyday problems to now working with an amazing team on international projects, the journey keeps teaching me that the best successes are the ones we can share.
